Why would this be a problem for chess?

As things stand chess has not made the front pages of any Australian news story for how many years?

Chess needs more human like drama because most ordinary people don't understand how intense the game is emotionally!

The last time I would imagine we made headlines was when you were the main act. And ironically it was about wanting quietness in the playing hall. What are you going to do when concentrating deeply trying to win a norm and the guy near you starts swearing out aloud and breaks all your concentration??? Are you going to floor young Morris? There is a hole in the bucket dear Lisa dear Lisa

Exactly! James has done so much for Australian Chess over the years, he's entitled to a little passionate display every now and then. Carry on James, you have my full support and endorsement.

What about if one of your clients done that in front of the judge? would you urge him to do it again? and tell the judge to enjoy it?

You are being ridiculous as usual. First Point, James was winning the game easily. Second point, he wins the tournament if he wins the game. Third point he missed a one move cheapo in a totally won game in time trouble.
    Put it in perspective....

Hmmm well that shouldn't be hard to answer.....He won the strongest club championship in Australia namely The Melbourne Chess Club championship and I seem to recall he also won the Caufield Club championship......there are other events as well.

I would have thought it was fairly obvious - The Man can swear whenever and wherever he goddamn well feels like.

But what about if James blurts out the f..k word and his opponent, a closet gay, takes it seriously and begins winking and rubbing legs with James under the table. James totally loses concentration and blames his opponent for being gay. Howz dat

Then with equal bragging rights his opponent can also call him an big idiot for making a mistake, than James' mum comes in swinging her handbag at his opponent knocking surrounding chess paraphernalia everywhere. Jame's mum turns the gay guy on and they sail off into the sunset
